Chris Williams

Chris Williams is a freelance drummer and private drum tutor based in Surrey, UK. He runs his own drum tuition studio and continues to work as a drummer for a range of bands and artists.

Chris began playing drums in 1998 and has over 20 years of experience performing live and recording professionally. His career has included extensive touring throughout the UK and Europe with hard rock bands Counterpoint and Plainview, as well as recording at the renowned Blackbird Studios in Nashville, Tennessee.

Alongside his work as a performing musician, Chris has taught drums privately since 2012. In 2018, he opened his own drum tuition and recording studio in Surrey, where he teaches students of all ages and abilities.

His approach to teaching is shaped by his experience as a working drummer, with lessons focused on developing solid technique, musicality and confidence behind the kit, while giving students the skills to play the music they actually enjoy.

Chris holds a BA (Hons) degree in Music Performance and is endorsed by Paiste Cymbals.
