DRUM LESSONS

Chris offers one-to-one drum lessons from his studio in the Surrey countryside, near Send. Lessons are available to students of all ages and abilities, from complete beginners through to more advanced players.

Students learn on a full-size professional acoustic drum kit, with lessons tailored to their individual goals, interests and level of playing, with an emphasis on playing music and developing the skills needed to become a confident, capable drummer.

Lessons can include:

🥁Learning to play songs you enjoy
🥁Building solid grooves and learning effective fills
🥁Playing along to backing tracks and developing timing
🥁Understanding what to play — and when not to play — in a band situation
🥁Developing the skills needed to play with other musicians
🥁Learning different styles and understanding how drumming changes between them
🥁Improvisation and developing your own ideas around the kit
🥁Rudiments, sticking patterns and technical development
🥁Double bass drumming and more advanced techniques
🥁Odd time signatures and more challenging rhythms
🥁Playing with a metronome and developing a strong sense of timing
🥁Sight reading
🥁Grades, exams and other qualifications

Whether the aim is to learn your favourite songs, play in a band, improve your technique or work towards a qualification, lessons are adapted to suit the individual student.

RATES FOR BLOCK BOOKING TERM TIME LESSONS:
£25 per 30 minute lesson
£33.50 per 45 minute lesson
£42 per 60 minute lesson

RATES FOR ONE-OFF LESSONS:
£30 per 30 minute lesson
£40 per 45 minute lesson
£50 per 60 minute lesson
